The XCS2-W0023ARN-02AX3T0ECET-S03RSN0NNNP0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Acting as the drive section for one motion channel, it converts three-phase line power into controlled voltage and frequency for servo or induction motors used in assembly cells, packaging lines, and material-handling equipment. The converter integrates directly with the ctrlX automation ecosystem, allowing tight coordination between motion control, safety, and higher-level machine logic.
The power stage accepts a line supply of 3 × AC 200 to 500 V with a tolerance of +10%/-15% and can deliver up to 23 A of output current to the connected motor. Thermal energy is removed through an internal air path, while the housing has an IP20 protection rating, so it is intended for installation inside a cabinet. An integrated braking transistor and braking resistor assembly is built into the power section, allowing the converter to dissipate regenerated energy without external braking hardware during rapid deceleration. Motion processing is executed on the ctrlX DRIVEplus control hardware, giving the axis enhanced computing resources for cyclic setpoint generation, diagnostics, and runtime applications.
Hardware option 2 equips the device with a multi-encoder interface that accepts various digital and analog feedback formats, while hardware option 3 adds Multi-Ethernet ports so the drive can connect to EtherCAT, PROFINET, or EtherNet/IP networks without adapter boards. Communication with higher-level software is routed through the ctrlX CORE environment. Functional safety is provided by a certified Safe Torque Off (STO) channel that supports the SafeMotion function for disabling axis torque. The runtime image uses DRIVE Runtime Productivity Version 03. The design does not include a motor connector set, allowing machine builders to select suitable field-wiring components. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz to meet applicable export requirements.
