Product Description:
The XCS2-W0023ARN-02AETT0ECNN-S03RSN4TF1P0NN is a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. It converts three-phase mains power into regulated motor voltage and current for one controlled axis while providing motion and safety functions for industrial automation. Its compact format supports installation in protected cabinets used on packaging lines, material-handling systems, and modular production cells. The converter can operate as one axis within a larger ctrlX control architecture where cabinet space and coordinated motion are important.
The power section accepts 3 x AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15% and provides a continuous output current of up to 23 A. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, and built-in thermal monitoring helps protect the power electronics during sustained operation. The housing has an IP20 rating, making it suitable for installation inside a protected control enclosure. An integrated braking transistor and braking resistor dissipate regenerated energy during rapid deceleration without requiring an external brake chopper. SafeMotion is installed as the first hardware option, while the motor connector set is omitted so suitable field cabling can be selected for the application.
Control logic runs on the ctrlX DRIVEplus platform with the Standard runtime environment and the DRIVE Runtime Productivity function set. Version 03 software supports the current XCS2 generation, and compatible technology apps can be uploaded for process-specific drive functions. A Multi-Ethernet interface with PROFINET IO provides deterministic communication with the higher-level controller. The second hardware slot contains a multi-encoder interface for processing supported motor and position feedback signals, while the third hardware slot is not equipped. A front panel provides local access to operating information and basic controls. The converter also provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated.
