The XCS2-W0023ARN-02ADLT0NNNN-S05RSN2TF1N0NN is a single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. As a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE device, it integrates power electronics and motion control to convert three-phase utility power into regulated motor current. In automated machinery, it drives one servo or induction motor axis and provides precise speed and torque regulation. Its integration with the broader ctrlX automation platform supports coordinated control and data exchange with other machine components.
The power section accepts 3 × AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%, allowing operation with a wide range of industrial power supplies without a transformer. The unit can deliver up to 23 A of output current, and its open-frame housing has an IP20 protection rating for installation inside a control cabinet. Internal airflow removes heat from the power electronics, eliminating the need for an external liquid-cooling circuit. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, so the required connectors must be selected separately for the installation. An included operator panel provides local access to operating information and controls. Communication between adjacent modules is handled through the DRIVElink interface, while embedded ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware runs the servo control loops. Hardware options 2 and 3 are not installed.
Network control is provided through EtherCAT with Servo Drive Profile over EtherCAT (SoE), enabling deterministic command and status exchange with the machine controller. The software provides DRIVE Runtime functionality in a Standard runtime environment and is identified as Version 05 (XCS2). Technology Apps can be uploaded to add specialized functions for the intended application. SafeMotion hardware option 1 is included, and Safe Torque Off (STO) prevents the drive from producing motor torque when the safety function is active. Regenerative energy produced during rapid deceleration is dissipated through an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, so the converter does not require an export license based on output frequency.
