Product Description:
The XCS2-W0023ARN-01NETT0NNNN-S03RSN2NNNP0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Designed for modular automation platforms, the unit conditions three-phase mains power and delivers regulated power to a single servo or induction motor while coordinating motion tasks through the ctrlX ecosystem. Within an installation, it serves as the power stage that links drive control logic to the electromechanical load, supporting precise speed and torque regulation in production machinery.
Electrical connectivity starts with a three-phase supply rated at 3 × AC 200 to 500 V (+10%/-15%), accommodating global plant voltages without an external transformer. The power section outputs up to 23 A, allowing the converter to drive medium-frame motors used in packaging lines or material-handling axes. Internal fans move air across heat-dissipating components, helping control operating temperatures under load. This air-cooled design has an IP20 degree of protection, so the unit is intended for mounting inside a closed cabinet. Energy produced during rapid deceleration is released through an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, eliminating the need for separate braking hardware. Command and diagnostic data reach the device over a Multi-Ethernet interface, while time-critical cyclic control is executed through the embedded EtherCAT (SoE) channel.
Drive intelligence resides on the ctrlX DRIVE control hardware and is activated with the DRIVE Runtime Productivity package supplied in the standard runtime environment. The converter includes SafeMotion hardware option 1, which enables advanced safety monitoring during machine operation. Its primary safeguard is Safe Torque Off (STO), which disconnects gate signals from the power devices when a safety input is asserted. The current Version 03 (XCS2) software release supports compatible ctrlX automation applications and additional drive functions. The configuration does not require a local operator panel or a supplied motor connector set, allowing those system components to be selected separately for the installation.
