Product Description:
The XCS2-W0023ARN-01NETT0ECNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. Built around ctrlX DRIVE control hardware, it conditions three-phase mains power and delivers regulated power to induction or synchronous motors used in automated lines, packaging machinery, and material-handling stations. The device fits into the DRIVE platform as the power element that links motion controllers to motor windings while accommodating optional multi-encoder feedback for position-critical tasks.
The converter accepts 3 × AC 200 to 500 V and supplies up to 23 A to the connected motor, making it suitable for medium-power axes. Thermal energy is removed through internal air cooling, which circulates cabinet air across the heat sink. The housing has an IP20 ingress protection rating, so the unit must be installed inside a protected control enclosure. For networking, a Multi-Ethernet interface provides access to common real-time communication buses. Hardware option 2 provides a multi-encoder port that accommodates resolver, Hiperface, or EnDat feedback units. Because the maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, the product is not subject to export licensing restrictions.
Hardware option 1 provides Safe Torque Off (STO), allowing drive energy to be removed without disconnecting the mains supply. Dynamic deceleration energy is handled by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor in the power section. The installed software is Version 03 (XCS2) and uses the Standard DRIVE Runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime functional scope. Field communication defaults to EtherCAT (SoE), while the Multi-Ethernet interface supports alternative protocols. No technology function app is preinstalled. The unit is supplied without a panel or motor connector set, allowing the use of a remote HMI and application-specific cabling.
