The XCS2-W0023ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S05RSN1NNNN0NN is a single-axis power converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. As a second-generation ctrlX DRIVE module, it controls compatible servo or induction motors by regulating the three-phase power used to produce speed and torque. The converter occupies the controller position within a drive stack and provides compact motion control for manufacturing cells, material-handling systems, and other automated machinery. Its single-axis design allows one motor to be managed through a dedicated power and control stage.
The model accepts an input range of 3 × AC 200–500 V, +10%/-15% and delivers up to 23 A of phase current through the motor terminals. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, so the unit does not require an external fan kit under its intended installation conditions. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating and is intended for installation inside a closed electrical cabinet. Dynamic braking is supported by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, which dissipate regenerated energy during rapid motor deceleration. Motion commands and diagnostic data travel through the Multi-Ethernet interface, while a Sercos fieldbus connection supports real-time cyclic communication. A factory-mounted operating panel is included for local access to the drive. The motor connector set is not supplied, allowing cabling and connectors to be selected for the connected motor and machine layout. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz.
Control functions operate on the ctrlX DRIVE platform with DRIVE Runtime in a standard runtime environment. The installed SafeMotion option provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which disables torque-producing motor power without requiring the main power circuit to be opened. This safety function can place the connected motor into a torque-free state when activated by the machine control system. Deterministic cyclic motion commands can also be exchanged through the Sercos III protocol when synchronized updates are required. No technology function application is preloaded, so application software may be added according to the intended control task. The standard runtime environment supports drive parameters and motion functions used across compatible ctrlX automation systems.
