Product Description:
The XCS2-W0023ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S03RSN2NNNP0NN is a single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. As a Generation 2 device, it provides closed-loop speed and torque regulation for one motor axis in industrial automation cells. The unit operates in the Standard runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime Productivity functional scope. Its control architecture supports precise motor response during acceleration, steady operation, and deceleration. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, so an export license is not required.
The converter accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15% and can provide up to 23 A to the connected motor. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, which directs fan-driven airflow across heat-generating components inside the housing. The enclosure has an IP20 degree of protection and is intended for installation inside a suitable control cabinet. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged through EtherCAT (SoE) communication, allowing synchronized control without an additional gateway. A factory-installed operating panel provides local access to drive settings and status information. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the required connectors and cables to be selected for the motor and machine layout.
The power section contains an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, allowing regenerative energy to be dissipated during rapid motor deceleration. Drive calculations and motor regulation are handled by the ctrlX DRIVE hardware core. Network connections are available through a Multi-Ethernet port, which supports integration with compatible industrial control networks. Functional safety includes Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated. The SafeMotion hardware option 1 adds motion-monitoring functions that can supervise drive behavior during safety-related operating states.
