The converter uses Generation 2 hardware and regulates motor power for one servo or induction axis. It converts three-phase mains power into controlled output so the connected motor can follow speed and torque commands. Its single-axis design supports automated packaging, material-handling, and machining equipment that requires coordinated motor control within a compact control panel.
The converter accepts a three-phase AC supply of 200 to 500 V with a +10%/-15% tolerance and can deliver up to 23 A of continuous output current to the connected motor. Heat is removed through an internal air channel, eliminating the need for an external fan kit. The IP20 protection rating prevents finger contact with live components when the unit is correctly installed in a panel. Command and diagnostic data travel through a Multi-Ethernet interface that accommodates several industrial communication protocols. Deterministic motion communication is available through the embedded ctrlX DRIVE backplane. A graphic front panel provides local access to operating information and adjustable parameters. Expanded encoder-based speed supervision is available through Hardware Option 1 SafeMotion without requiring external safety relays for the supported monitoring functions. The converter operates in the Standard runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime functional scope. Version 03 of the XCS2 release is installed and classified as the current release. No export license is required because the maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set, so the required connector components must be selected separately for the intended motor and cable arrangement.
