Product Description:
The XCS2-W0023ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S05RSN1NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. The unit forms the power and control interface between the ctrlX automation platform and one servo or induction motor. It regulates velocity, position, and torque in industrial machinery. Its single-axis design allows one converter to control a dedicated motor while exchanging commands and operating data with the wider automation system.
The converter accepts 3-phase AC power from 200 to 500 V (+10%/-15%) and can deliver up to 23 A of output current to the connected motor. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, which transfers heat away from the power electronics through the cabinet airflow. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so the converter is intended for installation inside a control cabinet that provides suitable protection from moisture and small objects. Network connectivity is provided through a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the unit to communicate over supported industrial Ethernet networks. A dedicated Sercos III protocol channel supports synchronized motion commands and diagnostic data exchange. The power stage uses ctrlX DRIVE technology to regulate the electrical output supplied to the motor. A local panel provides direct access for parameter entry and operating adjustments. The motor connection is supplied without a connector set, allowing appropriate cabling to be selected for the installation.
The integrated braking transistor and braking resistor dissipate regenerated energy within the converter during rapid motor deceleration. SafeMotion hardware option 1 supports functional safety, while Safe Torque Off (STO) removes torque-producing power from the motor after a corresponding safety input is activated. A multi-encoder interface provides compatibility with supported motor feedback systems and gives the controller the position and speed data required for closed-loop regulation. Application programs operate in the Standard runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime functional scope. The installed software is Version 05 (XCS2), which corresponds to this Generation 2 converter platform. The converter starts without an installed technology function application, leaving its motion functions available for configuration according to the intended machine task.
