Product Description:
The XCS2-W0023ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S03RSN1NNNP0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Acting as the power stage in a ctrlX DRIVE automation system, it converts supply energy into a controlled three-phase output for one servo or induction motor. The integrated control and power sections regulate motor speed and torque without requiring an external drive rack. Its compact arrangement supports installation in space-limited machinery and coordinated motion systems where individual axes require dedicated control.
The converter accepts a three-phase AC supply of 200 to 500 V with a tolerance of +10% to -15%. It can deliver up to 23 A of phase current to the connected motor. Thermal energy is removed through internal air cooling, so the cabinet must provide adequate airflow, but an external heat sink is not required. The IP20 housing helps prevent direct contact with live components while maintaining a compact profile for panel installation. A factory-mounted operating panel provides local access to parameters and operating information. The safety system includes Safe Torque Off (STO), which disables torque-producing energy at the output stage when activated. An export license is not required because the maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing cables and connectors to be selected for the connected motor series.
Control data is exchanged through a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports several industrial Ethernet communication methods. The interface also supports Sercos III communication for deterministic motion traffic between the converter and the higher-level controller. Regenerated energy produced during motor deceleration is managed by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, removing the need for a separate braking chopper. Functional safety can be expanded through SafeMotion hardware option 1, which adds motion-related safety functions beyond basic torque removal. A multi-encoder interface is installed as hardware option 2, allowing the converter to process position feedback from compatible encoder systems. The Standard runtime environment supports the DRIVE Runtime Productivity scope for the installed control functions.
