The XCS2-W0010ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Classified as a second-generation ctrlX DRIVE device, it rectifies the plant mains supply and produces a controlled three-phase output for automated motion axes. The converter combines power electronics and control logic in one module, supporting compact control cabinet layouts. It is suitable for packaging, material-handling, and assembly equipment that requires coordinated motor control from a centralized electrical enclosure.
The power stage accepts a supply of 3 × AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%, allowing operation with a wide range of industrial power systems. It supplies up to 10 A of continuous current for compatible servo motors. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, so the control cabinet must provide adequate airflow around the converter. The IP20 enclosure protects against accidental contact with live components but requires installation inside a suitable cabinet. An integrated braking transistor and braking resistor dissipate regenerated energy during rapid motor deceleration. Network connectivity is provided through Multi-Ethernet, which supports multiple industrial communication systems without an additional interface card. The front door includes a panel for local setup, and the converter is supplied without a motor connector set so application-specific cabling can be selected.
Real-time motion commands are transmitted through EtherCAT with SoE, providing deterministic communication between the converter and the higher-level controller. Emergency shutdown support is provided by Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated. SafeMotion is installed as the first hardware option, adding integrated motion safety support for the connected axis. Control processing runs on the ctrlX DRIVE core with the Standard runtime environment and DRIVE Runtime functional scope. The installed release is Version 04 for the XCS2 platform. Its maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, placing the converter outside the stated export license control threshold.
