Product Description:
The XCS2-W0010ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S05RSN3NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. Built on Generation 2 of the platform, it regulates the speed and torque of one motor in automated machinery by converting AC mains power into controlled output for a servo or induction motor. Its control, communication, and safety functions share one housing, helping reduce cabinet space in packaging, assembly, and material-handling applications.
The converter accepts a three-phase supply of 200 to 500 V AC, with +10%/-15% tolerance, covering common industrial mains voltages. It can deliver up to 10 A of continuous motor current for sustained operation. The internal air cooling system moves cabinet air through the heat sink without requiring a separate external fan. The enclosure is rated IP20, making live parts finger-safe while requiring installation inside a suitable control cabinet. Network communication uses a Multi-Ethernet port that supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and other compatible protocols. Precise motion timing is handled through an EtherCAT (CoE) channel for real-time exchange of control and status data. The output frequency remains below 599 Hz. The unit is supplied with a front panel but does not include a motor connector set. It operates with the standard DRIVE Runtime Version 05.
Safety is provided by the SafeMotion hardware option, which supports a certified Safe Torque Off (STO) function. This function disables torque-producing motor current when a safe stop is requested, reducing the need for external contactors in the shutdown path. The power section includes an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor that dissipate regenerated energy during motor deceleration. This braking arrangement removes the need for a separate chopper module and helps control DC-bus voltage during regenerative operation. Axis control runs on the ctrlX DRIVE hardware platform, while a multi-encoder interface accepts incremental or absolute feedback devices. The second hardware slot is unoccupied, and no technology function app is preinstalled.
