The VT2000 S48/2 is a plug-in servo amplifier card built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. The board installs in a backplane through a 32-pin DIN 41612 Form D connection and converts low-power command voltages from a PLC into controlled coil current for electrohydraulic servo valves used in automated machinery. Closed-loop signal conditioning and current feedback support precise positioning and pressure regulation in presses, molding machines, and other motion-control applications.
Incoming power is supplied through a single 24 VDC line, which is filtered by a 2200 µF smoothing network before the internal rails are stabilized at ±9 V for the analog stages. Operating logic is timed by a 200 Hz clock that establishes the carrier frequency for pulse-width modulation of the valve coil. Command signals are accepted over a differential span of 10 V, and a monitor jack reproduces the command signal for diagnostic use. Output current is available at the front test points with a sensitivity of 1 mV per mA, while a preset bias of 100 mA centers the spool in its neutral position. The power stage can deliver up to 800 mA into loads with resistance as low as 500 Ω. This current capacity supports repeatable valve movement when the connected coil presents substantial electrical resistance.
The card body measures 100 × 160 mm, and the aluminum front panel extends 128.4 mm above the guide rails. A solder-side clearance of 5.08 mm provides space for convection airflow around the installed board. The current monitor, command monitor, and reference connections are routed to the front bezel for convenient access. The card can operate at ambient temperatures up to 75 °C, allowing installation in cabinets positioned near hydraulic manifolds. The assembly weighs 150 g, so cabinet airflow carries heat away from its low-mass structure. A calibrated command monitor reaches 6 V at full scale, providing a direct indication of the control range.
