The VT12340-S10 servo amplifier card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. Intended for closed-loop control of proportional and servo valves, the board converts digital setpoints into regulated coil current within industrial motion systems. It installs in a 19-inch rack and, at 0.2 kg, adds minimal mass to the control cabinet. Through its backplane connector, the module links to valve drivers and machine controllers, supplying a compact interface for electrohydraulic automation.
This amplifier operates from a regulated 24 VDC supply and draws up to 2.3 A during peak demand. Internal circuitry tolerates excursions down to 21 V and up to 35 V, so brownouts or moderate overvoltage events do not interrupt control. A replaceable 4 A T time-lag fuse protects the supply path, while the front-panel fault relay is rated for 100 mA at 24 V to report abnormal conditions to external logic. The current monitor outputs 1 V per ampere, allowing the control system to compare commanded and actual solenoid current. Four digital preset inputs allow the selection of stored parameter groups, and a 50 mA solenoid-active output provides isolated confirmation that the coil is energized.
Configuration data are stored in an onboard 8K × 8 nonvolatile parameter memory, while executable code resides in a 128K × 8 program memory area. The available storage supports as many as 16 parameter sets for different machine operating profiles. Communication with supervisory equipment uses an RS-485 serial interface that permits multidrop cabling over long distances. The board follows the Eurocard 100 × 160 mm mechanical standard and uses a 48-pin DIN 41612 Form F connector, enabling direct insertion into standardized card cages without proprietary cabling. Additional diagnostics can be retrieved through the monitor output, while adjustments are written through the serial interface.
