The VT 1610-3X/1/4WRD16-3X is a plug-in amplifier card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. Installed in a DIN-format rack, the card generates controlled current for proportional or servo-hydraulic valves so that machine axes follow analog command references coming from a PLC or motion controller. By translating low-level voltage signals into precisely modulated coil current, the module forms the interface between electronic control hardware and the hydraulic actuators that drive presses, plastics machinery, and general industrial automation.

The card is energized by a dual supply from ±22 V to ±28 V, while the onboard circuitry draws less than 200 mA during steady operation. An internal regulator provides a stabilized ±15 V rail for signal processing. Command inputs are converted to valve drive with a superimposed dither of 3 mAss at 340 Hz that minimizes static friction in the hydraulic spool. Under closed-loop conditions, the output stage can source or sink up to ±60 mA, matching the requirements of most WRD16 proportional valves. Ambient temperatures from 0 °C to 50 °C are permitted without additional cooling, allowing installation in standard control cabinets.

Signal inputs accept a differential range of ±10 V and are routed through a DIN 41612 32-pole connector that also carries monitor outputs and the relay interface. Coil activation is handled by a relay with 2000 Ω resistance and a switching duty of 1 ms, enabling rapid enable or shutdown of the drive circuit. Current modulation is clocked at 2.5 kHz, giving fine resolution to the commanded flow. Despite the integrated electronics, the module adds only 0.20 kg to the rack, which helps support dense cabinet layouts and high channel counts in multi-axis hydraulic systems.
