The VT 16005-2X-A is a servo amplifier. It features a 32-pin plug for external connection. The amplifier module comes in Euro card format. Therefore operators can mount it on a card holder or in a Euro magazine. To prevent damage, the amplifier must be powered off before it is connected or disconnected. The amplifier converts an input signal to a proportional output. The output current is fed to a torque motor, which controls the pressure balance on the connected pilot valve. VT1600 amplifiers are compatible with the following pilot valves: 4WS2EM, 4WS2EB, 3DS2EH, and 4DS1EO. The amplifier is also compatible with A2V..HS pump with potentiometer feedback. VT1600 amplifiers are usually modified for valve type, application and power supply. An electrical schematic details the specific changes. VT1600 amplifiers with voltage regulators require ± 22 to 28 Volts DC power supply.
VT1600 amplifiers without voltage regulators require ±15 Volts DC regulated supply. Each amplifier draws less than 200 milliamps during operation. Nominal resistance of the amplifier relay coil is 2000 Ohms. The duty cycle of the relay coil is 1 millisecond. The voltage range for the relay coil is 22 to 28 Volts DC.
