The Bosch VT 16005-2X is an industrial amplifier. It is designed for applications that require control of pilot valves. The output of the amplifier controls pressure balance in the valve. The VT 16005-2X is part of the VT1600 product line. Amplifiers from this product line support a wide range of integrated features. A voltage stabilizer on the amplifier helps to provide clean voltage for consistent and stable performance. An ammeter mounted on the face plate provides a fast visual reference of the output current that is fed to the valve. Integrated PID on the VT 16005-2X allows optimum performance of position control and constant velocity circuits. Three internal potentiometers allows fast adjustment of PID values. An additional control input allows increased control capabilities. Voltage range for the internal control is 0 to ±10 Volts DC.
The VT 16005-2X comes in Euro card format. It can either be installed on a card holder or mounted onto a Euro magazine. The dimension of the Euro card PCB are 100 x 160 millimeters. The dimensions of the amplifier module front plate are 128 x 5 millimeters. The ambient temperature range for optimal amplifier performance is 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Unused VT 16005-2X amplifiers require -4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit ambient temperature. The amplifier should always be protected from dust and corrosive elements such as gases and vapors. External connection to the VT 16005-2X can be made via a 32-pin plug. Bosch has included relevant safety instructions in the product documentation. The most important instruction is to power off the amplifier before connecting or disconnecting it. To ensure amplifier reliability, only trained personnel should install and operate it.
