Product Description:
The VT 16000-2X-131 is a servo amplifier from Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. Installed in a control cabinet, it interfaces between a PLC and proportional or servo valves so hydraulic cylinders can follow programmed motion profiles. By generating analog command values, evaluating position and pressure feedback, and performing closed-loop calculations, the module brings precise control to hydraulic axes used in presses, injection molding machines, and material-handling systems.
Its digital control core can regulate up to 4 hydraulic axes in one assembly. The combination module provides 8 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs for transducers and analog command signals, while a separate digital board offers 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs for limit, ready, and fault signals. Position capture is handled by a counter for 2 incremental encoders, and an SSI module accepts 4 absolute SSI encoders when multi-turn feedback is required. Feed-forward channels for speed, acceleration, and pressure help reduce regulator workload during rapid transitions, and four plug-in slots allow later function expansion while differential pressure evaluation supports force-control loops.
For coordinated motion, the controller stores 32 cross-axis cams and up to 2000 NC sets that follow DIN 66 025. Data blocks and status words are exchanged with S5-115U, S5-135U, S5-155U, and S7-400 Siemens controllers through the backplane interface, allowing the machine program to manage velocity and pressure schedules in real time. The amplifier can read analog, incremental, or SSI measuring systems and apply PDT1, PI, or PIDT1 algorithms so the loop response matches load inertia. It also uses the residual voltage principle to compensate for valve overlap during fine control movements.
