Within an automation cell, the unit receives position data from encoders, converts those signals into valve currents, and exchanges status information with a supervisory PLC. Because valve command generation and feedback evaluation occur in the same module, response remains consistent during synchronized motion and sequence changes.

An I/O combination board supplies 8 AI / 4 AO channels for analog sensing and command voltages, and parameterization is carried out through COM252M.
