Product Description:
The VT 16000-2X-111 is a multi-axis servo amplifier produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. Designed for electro-hydraulic motion control, the unit drives proportional valves and processes feedback from position or pressure transducers to close precise control loops. By coordinating up to four hydraulic axes and exchanging data with a PLC, it forms the analog heart of press, molding, or metal-forming stations where accurate axis synchronization is required.
I/O expansion is provided through a combination module that offers 8 analog inputs for sensors such as pressure transducers or LVDT position signals and 4 analog outputs for valve current commands or reference signals to external devices. The same plug-in card supplies 8 digital inputs that accept limit switches or cycle triggers, along with 8 digital outputs that report status bits back to supervisory controllers. Up to 4 hydraulic axes can be processed simultaneously, so a single amplifier can manage coordinated movements like clamp, ejector, core pull, and slide without additional hardware. The chassis accommodates a maximum of four plug-in modules, allowing these resources to be allocated flexibly according to machine requirements.
Closed-loop behavior uses selectable controller structures of PDT1, PI, PIDT1, so the control response can be matched to cylinder mass and flow characteristics. Programmed motion profiles follow the numerical-control syntax of DIN 66025, while internal cam tables support 32 cross-axis cam links that trigger outputs at specific positions. When plant control is handled by a Siemens CPU, direct interface lines connect to the higher-level S7-400 platform, although legacy S5 racks are also supported. Up to 2000 NC sets can be stored, giving sufficient program capacity for batch-change production without external memory cards.
