The VT 16000-2X-110 servo amplifier is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. It converts PLC motion commands into valve currents so that electro-hydraulic positioning and force loops can be executed accurately on production machinery. This arrangement supports precise control of hydraulic actuators during positioning, clamping, and force-regulated machine movements. Closed-loop motion is tuned with the PDT1 position controller, while additional pressure and synchronization loops help the amplifier respond to load changes and coordinated axis movement.
Each combo module within the unit provides 8 analog inputs / 4 analog outputs for sensor and transducer signals. Discrete control signals are handled through 8 digital inputs / 8 digital outputs per module, allowing local interlocks and status exchange without separate relay hardware. The amplifier accepts feedback from 2 incremental encoders / 4 SSI encoders, depending on the selected feedback type, and matching analog, incremental, and SSI interfaces are integrated on the IP252mH controller platform. Motion generation can address a maximum of 4 hydraulic axes, and the controller can store a maximum of 2000 NC sets for repeatable motion profiles. These limits set the available control range for multi-axis hydraulic applications.
For multi-axis synchronizing tasks, the amplifier offers 32 cross-axis cams, which let position events on one channel trigger pressure or velocity adjustments on another. Up to a maximum of 4 peripheral modules can be attached to expand I/O or communications without changing the base control structure. Integration into existing plant architectures is eased by SIMATIC S5-115U/S5-135U/S5-155U/S7-400 compatibility, which allows direct slot mounting beside Siemens PLCs.
