The VT 16000-2X-101 is a servo amplifier module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT 1600 Servo Amplifiers series. It acts as an interface between a PLC or motion controller and multiple electrohydraulic axes, conditioning feedback signals, executing position loops, and driving proportional valves for closed-loop motion in industrial automation cells. This arrangement allows one module to coordinate command processing, feedback evaluation, and valve control within the same control path.

This amplifier provides 8 combo analog inputs so that either voltage or current transducers can be connected for pressure, position, or command references. Control signals are returned to the field through 4 combo analog outputs, allowing direct modulation of valve coils or external monitors. Discrete machine states are read through 8 digital inputs, while interlocks and status flags are issued on 8 digital outputs. The unit can interpret feedback from Analog, incremental, and SSI measuring systems, allowing analog LVDTs, incremental encoders, and absolute encoders to be used on the same card. Two counter encoder channels handle rapid pulse streams for velocity or length measurement, and 4 plug-in modules provide space for optional communication or special-function cards.

Up to 4 hydraulic axes can be controlled simultaneously, and each axis can use independent PID parameters and feedforward terms. Position referencing supports incremental feedback, and 4 SSI encoder channels are available when absolute position is required at power-on. For complex jobs such as multi-step pressing or contouring, the memory stores 2000 NC sets that combine target values, ramp limits, and cam assignments. Stored program data can be recalled for repeated motion sequences without re-entering command values.
