For operation, it uses symmetrical supply rails of ±15 VDC and limits its input current draw to 200 mA maximum, reducing thermal load inside densely populated cabinets. The amplifier occupies a front plate width of 8 HP, leaving adjacent slots available for ancillary logic or feedback modules. Internally, the control stages accept reference voltages of ±10 V, which determines the output current span delivered to the connected actuator.

To improve valve linearity, the module injects a dither current of 3 mApp at 340 Hz, a frequency selected to overcome spool friction without exciting mechanical resonance. The front plate height of 128 mm aligns with standard 3U racks, and the plate carries status LEDs that reflect relay activity. Those relays exhibit a coil resistance of 2000 Ω and complete switching cycles in 1 ms, enabling quick enable or shutdown commands. Because the onboard voltage regulator is omitted, stable external rails are required to keep setpoint accuracy. Even with these functions, the card weighs only 0.15 kg, which helps reduce inertial stress on card guides during machine vibration.
