Product Description:
The VT-VRPA2-527-10/V0/RTP plug-in card is an electric amplifier produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT-VRPA Electric Amplifiers series. It mounts in a hydraulic control rack and conditions ±10 V command signals so that a proportional valve solenoid receives a regulated current profile. By shaping the valve drive current, the card allows machine PLCs to generate precise pressure or flow ramps in automated presses, test rigs, and material-handling systems.
The amplifier is powered by a nominal 24 V DC supply, while its internal regulator tolerates a minimum of 21 V and a maximum of 40 V to accommodate common plant supply variations. Total power dissipation is limited to 35 W, and the board draws a continuous 1.5 A from the cabinet bus. Incoming analog commands encounter an input resistance of 100 kΩ, which prevents the amplifier from loading upstream motion controllers. A stabilized reference of ±10 V at 50 mA is available for an external 10 kΩ command potentiometer, while the differential command limit of ±10 V provides the full modulation range for the pulse-width stage. A built-in filter keeps output ripple below 10%, allowing the solenoid current to remain stable even at maximum valve stroke.
Dynamic response is set with two ramp generators. Acceleration can be extended to 5 seconds for smooth cylinder starts or shortened to 0.05 seconds for rapid positioning. The power bridge delivers up to 2.7 A at 25 VA to the connected proportional solenoid while remaining within the coil’s thermal limits. Zero-point adjustment is available over a range of ±10%, allowing valve overlap errors to be corrected after installation. The card connects to the system backplane through a DIN 41612 F32 plug, providing a secure interface with the hydraulic control rack. Its mass is only 0.35 kg, which reduces the load placed on the rack and simplifies handling when access to the card is required.
