Product Description:
The VT-VRPA2-2-10/V0/T1 electric amplifier card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT-VRPA Electric Amplifiers series. It interfaces directly with the 4WRE 10…-2X proportional directional valve and supplies controlled coil current according to external command references. By translating voltage or current setpoints into a modulated output, the board forms the electronic link between a PLC and a hydraulic actuator in industrial automation systems. This arrangement allows the control system to regulate the direction and rate of hydraulic motion through electrical commands.
The card operates from a stabilized supply of 24 VDC and has a maximum power consumption of 24 VA. It accepts a process signal of 4–20 mA through a 100 Ω input load as well as differential voltage references of ±10 V, providing options for current-loop or voltage control. Internal electronics generate a command value output of ±10 V with a ±2% tolerance, while the actual-value feedback channel delivers ±2.5 V within the same accuracy range. A single ramp generator provides one adjustable ramp time, smoothing sudden changes in the setpoint. The pulse-width-modulated power stage switches at 5.6 kHz ±10% and can deliver a maximum current of 2.5 A to the valve coil. Four potentiometer inputs, each rated at ±10 V, support local adjustment of gain and offset.
The board follows the Eurocard format and has overall dimensions of 100 × 160 mm. It connects to the control rack through a 48-pin DIN 41612 Form F header, providing a standardized physical interface for the electrical connections. Input protection circuitry permits continuous operation at supply voltages as low as 18 V. The permitted supply range extends up to 35 V, protecting the circuitry against moderate voltage variations. Its Eurocard dimensions allow the board to fit compatible control racks without requiring a separate enclosure or custom mounting hardware.
