Product Description:
The VT-VRPA1-527-10/V0/QV-RTP is an electric amplifier card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT-VRPA Electric Amplifiers series. The board conditions command signals and drives proportional solenoid valves used in hydraulic positioning and pressure control loops throughout industrial automation. By regulating current to an attached valve, the card allows a PLC or analog reference to translate low-level signals into controlled hydraulic force. The compact single-slot format allows the board to be inserted directly into a standardized rack alongside other motion-control electronics.
During operation, the amplifier accepts a supply of 24 VDC and draws up to 1.5 A. The card has a rated power draw of 35 W, which remains within its thermal design margin. A pulse-width-modulated output is generated by an internal oscillator operating at 7.8 kHz with an amplitude of 10.2 V RMS. The high carrier frequency limits current ripple and audible noise during valve operation. The power stage can deliver a continuous solenoid current of 2.7 A, providing as much as 25 W of magnetic power to shift the valve spool.
The card occupies a front width of 7 TE and measures 160 mm long by 100 mm wide, fitting the standard Eurocard form factor. All electrical terminations are made through a DIN 41612-F32 male connector, so rack wiring can use prewired backplane assemblies. A built-in potentiometer supply provides +10 V at 10 mA, and the recommended command potentiometer resistance is 1 kΩ. This arrangement permits stable span adjustment without overloading the reference source. The board weighs 0.36 kg, which minimizes stress on the card guides during vibration. When the internal controller detects an out-of-range condition, an error output can source up to 100 mA to signal the fault to supervisory logic.
