Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s VT-VRPA1-52-1X/ is an analog amplifier card in the VT-VRPA Electric Amplifiers series. Installed in a valve control rack, the card modulates coil current so a proportional hydraulic valve follows a voltage command from the PLC or motion controller. By converting low-level setpoints into regulated load current, it provides the interface between electronic command circuits and the inductive solenoids used in industrial automation. This arrangement supports repeatable valve response in systems that use proportional hydraulics for position, force, or flow control.

The card draws a continuous 1.5 A from a 24 V DC supply, and its internal losses can reach 37 W during full-scale operation. It mounts in a European-format rack and occupies a front-panel width of 7 modular spacings, allowing predictable slot allocation in multi-axis installations. This layout helps keep rack planning straightforward when several control cards share the same enclosure. Input conditioning accepts differential commands, and the zero trimmer provides ±5% offset correction. An onboard ±15 V rail feeds external position sensors, while the 10 kΩ feedback potentiometer can be biased with a 10 mA source for linear position feedback. The 100 kΩ setpoint resistance minimizes loading on upstream analog outputs.

The amplifier accepts a differential command range of ±10 V, which it interprets as full stroke. If an internal fault is detected, the error output can sink 100 mA to signal the host controller. The power stage supports a maximum solenoid load of 2.7 A / 40 VA, and a 4700 µF/63 V DC capacitor helps smooth supply disturbances during rapid current changes. The command input, fault output, and current stage support stable analog valve control during changing load conditions. Because the error output is available to the host control system, abnormal conditions can be monitored without adding a separate supervisory module.
