The VT-VPCD-1-18/V0/1-0-1 control card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-VPCD drives series. Mounted in a Eurocard rack, it regulates proportional valves and variable-displacement pumps by translating machine controller instructions into analog reference signals, thereby coordinating hydraulic motion inside automated lines and presses. Its layout lets system builders integrate closed-loop pressure or flow regulation directly alongside PLC modules without separate amplifier hardware.
The board runs from a nominal 24 VDC rail that can range from 21 V to 30 V, and peak demand is limited to 3.5 A so cabinet power supplies can remain compact. Two differential voltage inputs accept ±10 V commands, and each input presents an impedance of 100 kΩ to prevent source loading while digitizing the signal in 5 mV steps. Outgoing control for external devices is provided through a bipolar ±10 V channel with a resolution of 10 mV, provided that the connected equipment offers a load of at least 1 kΩ. Internal PID calculations refresh every 2 ms, providing a suitable response rate for dynamic hydraulic circuits. The available voltage and current channels support pressure, flow, and displacement control when connected to compatible hydraulic equipment.
The current reference loop can source up to 30 mA, while return sensing passes through a 100 Ω shunt and is digitized with a resolution of 5 µA for precise closed-loop control. Configuration and service diagnostics are handled through a front-panel RS-232 interface that uses a 9-pin D-Sub connector, enabling computer access without disturbing the rack wiring. All power, input, output, and feedback conductors converge on a 64-pole DIN 41612 backplane connector, which keeps the electrical connections organized within the Eurocard rack.
