The VT-SWMA3-5-10/V0/0 is a plug-in proportional amplifier card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-SSPA Plugin Proportional Amplifiers series. By converting low-level control signals into regulated coil current, the module drives proportional hydraulic valves that govern pressure or flow in automated machinery. It plugs into a standardized rack and links the motion controller with the hydraulic actuator, delivering closed-loop accuracy without standalone power electronics. Within an electrohydraulic loop, the card conditions commands, applies zero-point shifts, and supplies stabilized current so that valve spool position correlates predictably with the numerical setpoint supplied by the PLC.
A nominal bus voltage of 24 VDC supplies the circuitry, and the card draws no more than 0.2 A, minimizing heat dissipation inside densely packed cabinets. The summing stage accepts a composite input of up to 10 V, allowing compatible analog signals to control the proportional valve. A dedicated reference of 0 V establishes zero-point mode I for symmetrical actuation around the neutral valve position. Four operational channels provide 4 internal command values, which allow ramp or gain settings to be selected through external jumpers or logic signals without manual potentiometer adjustment. Additional interface points combine external setpoints with the stored command values to shape the valve response curve for the intended hydraulic process.
The enclosure is 95.5 mm deep, 110 mm high, and 86 mm wide, so it occupies one 32-HP Eurocard slot while leaving adjacent modules accessible. With a mass of 0.39 kg, the board places a low static load on vertical racks and remains easy to handle during installation. Continuous operation is permitted at temperatures up to +70 °C, supporting use in warm control cabinets where adequate ventilation is maintained. The card can be stored at temperatures down to -20 °C, accommodating unconditioned equipment rooms and spare-parts warehouses. Its rack-mounted format keeps electrical connections organized while allowing direct access to the card’s adjustment points and interface terminals.
