The VT-SSPA1-525-22/V0 is a plug-in proportional amplifier produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-SSPA Plugin Proportional Amplifiers series. Installed in card racks close to hydraulic controllers, the module modulates direct-current output to match demanded spool or pressure commands for proportional valves. By shaping coil current according to an external reference signal, the amplifier provides precise flow and force control within automated presses, injection machines, or motion axes. Field terminals on the card accept supply and command wiring through a gland rated for industrial environments.
The card is powered from a nominal bus of 24 VDC, and it remains operative with supply levels between the 18 V minimum and the 35 V ceiling. A switching stage engages once the input reference exceeds 12 V, after which the factory trim delivers 2.5 A of nominal solenoid current that can be raised to 2.6 A through the front-panel potentiometer. At this peak setting, the pulse-width modulator operates at 305 Hz, keeping acoustic noise low while preventing coil saturation. The control input presents 20 kΩ of resistance, so PLC analog cards experience negligible load. Cable runs may include up to 100 µH of inductance, provided the connected valve coil has at least 10 mH of inductance. Under worst-case excitation, the board draws 60 VA from the cabinet supply, which is useful when sizing shared power rails.
The housing achieves an IP65 ingress protection rating once the gland is tightened, shielding the circuitry from sprayed fluids and dust. Reliable operation extends from −25 °C to +60 °C, covering cold starts and warm enclosures, while storage is permitted at +85 °C without component stress. The module weighs only 0.125 kg, so it adds little mass to door-mounted racks and places minimal additional load on their supports.
