Product Description:
The VT-SSPA1-5-13/V0/0-24 is an amplifier card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-SSPA Plugin Proportional Amplifiers series. When mounted on a valve block, the module converts a voltage command from the machine controller into a regulated solenoid current so that hydraulic or pneumatic actuators follow setpoints accurately. Its role in an automation cell is to stabilize valve behavior and reduce nonlinear effects that could otherwise impair closed-loop pressure or flow control.
The electronics operate from a supply rail of 24 VDC, and the internal current regulator supplies up to 1.2 A to the valve coil. This nominal current supports compatible size-5 Bosch Rexroth proportional solenoids. A pulse-width-modulated carrier operating at 200 Hz provides dither that reduces magnetic hysteresis and promotes smooth spool movement. The card has an input resistance of 20 kΩ, so standard ±10 V or 0–10 V reference sources are not loaded excessively. The enclosure has an IP65 rating, which provides protection against dust and water jets when the supplied 4-pin M12×1 connector is properly tightened. Reliable current control also requires a minimum coil inductance of 15 mH and a solenoid resistance of 4.77 Ω for stable dither and linear output.
A panel-mounted slow-blow fuse rated at 2 A protects the supply line. The card tolerates input excursions up to 35 V before overvoltage shutdown and disables operation when the voltage falls to 18 V. To prevent control-loop distortion, the connecting cable must not exceed a distributed inductance of 100 µH. Field wiring terminates at four screw terminals, while the valve connects through two power pins and protective earth. The board fastens with M3 × 40 mm screws and fits beneath an M12 housing. Its mass of 0.125 kg adds minimal weight to the manifold assembly.
