The VT11118-10 is a DC-supplied servo amplifier produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT Servo Amplifiers series. Designed for rail-mounted installation, the module conditions analog command signals and drives the control coils of proportional valves in automated machinery. By matching valve spool position to an electrical reference, it enables closed-loop pressure or flow regulation in hydraulic motion axes used on presses, injection-molding equipment, and material-handling stations. Because the output current is shaped by the internal control electronics, the amplifier can help reduce valve deadband and improve repeatable actuator response in systems that depend on stable hydraulic control.
Two output stages share a common supply that accepts 24 VDC during normal operation. Internally, a pulse generator switches at 175 Hz for positions one and three, while a second channel runs at 100 Hz to support dither behavior across different valve sizes. The housing measures 40 mm across the front panel, so several amplifiers can be installed side by side on a TH 35-7.5 DIN rail. An enclosure rating of IP20 limits use to clean control cabinets where finger protection is required, but sealing against dust or water is not. Upstream circuit protection is provided by a replaceable 3.5 A F fuse that isolates the board during overcurrent faults.
Energizing the two enable inputs routes the reference through dual command attenuators before it reaches the power stage, and the adjustable command span is ±10 V. When the supply remains below 35 V, the amplifier stays within its rated thermal range, and its low mass of 0.14 kg supports quick heat exchange with the surrounding air. The vertical profile is limited to 79 mm, and the depth of 85.5 mm helps the unit fit inside shallow enclosures.
