Product Description:
The AES-D-BC-PNIO is a servo amplifier node produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT Servo Amplifiers series. Intended for decentralized hydraulic or pneumatic actuation, it connects field-level valves and sensors to a controller over PROFINET. The assembly converts digital commands into controlled coil current and provides process feedback in standard data blocks, allowing precise motion sequencing without a central valve cabinet. Its sealed housing permits installation directly on machinery, reducing wiring complexity and startup time in industrial automation applications.
The electronics section draws 0.1 A from a 24 V DC rail, and the same 24 V supply powers the internal actuators. Communication is handled through a PROFINET IO interface that enters the unit through an M12 × 1 socket with four pins and D-coding. Deterministic exchange of up to 512 inputs and 512 outputs is supported, and the update interval for a 256-bit payload remains below 1 ms. Signal and power grounds are kept separate because the logic circuitry is galvanically isolated from the valve side. A matching M12 × 1 plug with four pins and A-coding delivers system power, allowing the field wiring to use standardized cord sets instead of proprietary leads.
The output stages can source 4 A per channel, enabling direct operation of pilot coils or medium-sized proportional coils without external amplifiers. One node can energize up to 128 individual solenoid coils, which are organized into 64 selectable valve positions for use with complex manifolds. Expansion is supported by a maximum of 10 plug-on I/O modules, allowing the local sensing and actuation capacity to be adapted to the application. The permitted operating temperature ranges from -10 °C to 60 °C. The IP65 enclosure protects the electronics against dust and low-pressure water jets when the node is mounted on machinery or near process stations.
