The VT-MSPA2-1-10-V0-0 is a modular amplifier designed for use with proportional valves. It is especially designed by Bosch for control of direct operated proportional directional valves without position feedback. The amplifier requires 24 Volts DC input. The power supply unit on the VT-MSPA2-1-10-V0-0 includes a making current limiter. This supply module provides all the negative and positive voltages required internally by the amplifier. The enable function enables the power output stages and forwards the internal command value signal to the ramp generator. An LED on the front plate displays the enable signal. If enable is connected, the internal command value is changed (with any kind of command value presetting) by the set ramp time. Therefore a controlled valve does not open abruptly. The power output of the VT-MSPA2-1-10-V0-0 is fed to a solenoid.
The peak solenoid current per output is 2.7 Amps. The output stages on the VT-MSPA2-1-10-V0-0 are protected against short-circuit events. The solenoid conductor is monitored for cable break as well as over-current of the output stage. The ramp generator on the VT-MSPA2-1-10-V0-0 limits the incline of the control output.
