The VT-MSPA1-2X-F5-000-000 is a single-channel proportional drive card from the VT-MSPA Drives series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. The module accepts an analog reference and delivers a regulated current to a connected solenoid so that hydraulic or pneumatic actuators can be commanded directly from a PLC. By performing this signal conditioning inside the cabinet, the card reduces wiring complexity and provides stable actuation for a wide range of motion-control tasks.
The electronics operate from a nominal supply of 24 V, with internal protection that permits operation down to 18 V and up to 36 V without performance loss. A control input of 4–20 mA passes through a 100 Ω burden resistor, and the circuit reproduces this setpoint as a regulated solenoid current of 2.7 A. To prevent loading the monitor output, at least 1000 Ω must be present on the receiving side. Line regulation limits residual voltage ripple to 2.5 Vpp, helping the downstream valve maintain stable force. One solenoid channel is integrated, so configuration only requires addressing a single coil.
During initial energization the card draws less than 4 A, then falls below the continuous limit of 2 A, keeping total consumption under 48 W. Overcurrent events are cleared by a 3.15 A Time-Lag fuse that withstands short inrush peaks. The enclosure carries the IP20 designation, indicating finger-safe terminals but no protection against liquids. Functional readiness is achieved in < 1 s, which supports machines that demand quick cycle restarts. At only 0.14 kg, the board imposes little mechanical load on the DIN rail and simplifies service handling.
