Product Description:
The VT-HNC100-C-31/P-S-00/000 axis controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series within the Digital NC control HNC100 family. The compact card governs hydraulic or electric servo axes by generating command trajectories, processing feedback, and issuing drive signals. It serves as the motion core in presses, machining centers, and test stands that require closed-loop numerical control. Its onboard analog and digital interfaces allow it to coordinate position, speed, and pressure without relying on an external PLC.
The hardware is configured as a compact controller for one axis, allowing a single positioning channel to fit within a confined cabinet slot. The logic electronics operate from 18 VDC to 30 VDC, making them compatible with common machine power supplies. The controller has four digital inputs for homing switches or mode commands and two digital outputs for fault or in-position signals. One analog command path accepts signals within a ±12 V range, while two voltage outputs provide ±10 V signals for valve or inverter control. A pair of current inputs accepts signals within a ±10 mA range from compatible transducers. The controller does not include a bus connection, although an added Profibus interface can recognize addresses up to 127. Internal sensor rails supply up to 100 mA for potentiometers and 200 mA for SSI encoders. The electronics are part of component series 3, and the controller does not include an inductive position sensor.
The analog input has a resistance of 200 kΩ ±5%, which minimizes loading on low-power signal sources. Output resolution reaches 1.25 mV, enabling fine valve adjustment across the available voltage range. The driver section can source or sink up to ±10 mA and requires a minimum load resistance of 1 kΩ on each channel to maintain linear operation. Remote pressure sensors can connect through the available current input channels without requiring separate signal converters. Applications that already provide external position feedback can connect their sensors directly through the controller’s supported interfaces.
