The VT-HNC100-4-3X-E-I-00-G04 digital axis controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and is part of the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series. Intended for electro-hydraulic motion tasks, this module acts as the closed-loop control core for up to four synchronized hydraulic axes in presses, machining centers, or test rigs. By converting feedback signals from position transducers into precise valve commands, it provides deterministic positioning and velocity profiles within an industrial automation environment.

The device samples analog command signals through current inputs that exhibit an input resistance of 350 Ω at 20 °C, which helps prevent load-induced measurement errors. For position feedback, it accepts incremental encoders with edge frequencies up to 250 kHz and powers those sensors with a regulated 5.25 V supply. Real-time process data are exchanged with the host controller through Ethernet frames, with up to 992 bytes transferred per task cycle and loop calculations completed in as little as 2 ms. These response times help the controller track rapid hydraulic pressure changes without overshoot, while the voltage inputs use a separate 200 kΩ ±5% impedance to isolate voltage-mode transducers.
