The VT-HNC100-4-3X-E-I-00-000 digital axis controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as a member of the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series. Within the Digital NC control HNC100 platform, this variant focuses on hydraulic motion tasks. It is intended to close the control loop for hydraulic cylinders and motors, translating setpoint data from a PLC into precisely metered valve currents. By executing positioning, pressure, and velocity algorithms on board, the controller unloads the main PLC and delivers deterministic motion coordination needed for presses, die-casting machines, and multi-station tooling lines in industrial automation.

This variant is equipped to coordinate 4 hydraulic axes, enabling simultaneous position and pressure loops without inter-channel interference. The internal CPU completes each regulation sequence in 2 ms, maintaining tight bandwidth for fast-moving rams. Input events propagate through the hardware with only 1.4 µs of pass-through delay, so sensor changes are reflected almost immediately at the outputs. Up to 992 bytes of cyclic I/O are exchanged with the supervising controller during each scan, allowing transmission of target values, status words, and diagnostics in one frame. Every I/O carrier exposes 11 configurable digital points, and up to four carriers can be installed to match application requirements.

The unit is supplied without a bus module, so wiring follows the parallel scheme and supports a maximum of 20 digital outputs through cabinet terminals. The unit conforms to Conformance Class A, and its hardware revision belongs to component series 3 even though global synchronization is set to none. Three integrated switch ports handle local star wiring while preserving the module’s IP20 protection level.
