Bosch Rexroth is the creator of the HNC100 digital axis control units built to control hydraulic and electric drives. These components with high operational reliability are programmable NC control units for closed-loop controlled axes. They are commonly used in presses, rail-bound machines, and machine tools.

The VT-HNC100-2-2X/M-16-C-0 is a digital axis control unit in Bosch Rexroth’s HNC100, Component 2x series. It is designed for two hydraulic axes and has a housing that supports rack installation. Like many others in the series, this model has 16 digital inputs and outputs each. Thanks to its CANopen interface, it can also be used for operations requiring higher-level control. During its operation, the nominal voltage supplied should be maintained between 18V DC and 36V DC. It also has a power consumption rating of 8W, but this can increase depending on the connected sensors/actuators. Additionally, this 1.2kg device has an RS232 serial interface with a 9 Kbaud maximum Baud rate for serial data communication.

Several monitoring features have been integrated into the VT-HNC100-2-2X/M-16-C-0 to protect it from damage. These include cable break monitoring for incremental and SSI encoders, dynamic following error monitoring, and monitoring of electronic limit switches. The WIN-PED 5 software tool is a convenient way to configure and parameterize this digital axis control model. It is a PC-compatible program with extensive options for displaying process data, identifying faults, and resolving them. This HNC100 model uses a 16/32 Bit MC68376 processor and is compatible with the incremental or absolute (SSI) measuring system. It also has an EEPROM where R parameters are stored. Its continued optimal operation requires an ambient temperature between 0°C and 50°C. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
