Product Description:
The VT-HNC100-2-21/W-16-0-0 is a digital axis controller in the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It coordinates two hydraulic axes by executing numerical control algorithms that translate sensor feedback into valve currents inside industrial machinery. By providing closed-loop motion control, memory resources, and a service interface in one compact housing, the device streamlines cabinet layouts for presses, die-casting machines, and other fluid-power equipment that rely on deterministic positioning.
Field signals reach the logic core through 4 analog inputs supported by 16 digital I/O lines. A 16/32-bit MC68376 processor supervises motion blocks while accessing 256 KB of RAM for real-time variables and 1 MB of flash memory for program data and parameter sets; an additional 8 KB of EEPROM safeguards calibration data. Two current outputs directly energize proportional valves, while four voltage outputs provide reference levels for external amplifiers. Classified as component series 2 within the Digital NC control HNC100 family, the unit uses the corresponding board layout but does not have a bus connection, so integration depends on its front-mounted serial link.
The housing is intended for wall mounting, making installation straightforward inside a control cabinet. The operating electronics have a power draw of 8 W, minimizing the thermal load and often eliminating the need for forced cooling. The controller measures 106.5 × 155 × 204 mm and weighs 1.2 kg, allowing placement near hydraulic manifolds without additional support. Setup and diagnostics use a single RS-232 interface operating at 9.6 kbaud, which supports serial communication in industrial control systems. The unit does not contain evaluation electronics or an inductive position sensor interface. External signal-conditioning hardware is therefore required when an LVDT or a similar transducer forms part of the axis feedback loop.
