The VT-HNC100-1-2X-W-08-I-0 is a digital axis controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series. It is intended for closed-loop control of hydraulic positioning systems and combines motion control functions, fieldbus communication, and local I/O in a wall-mounted housing. In industrial automation, the device coordinates valve commands and sensor feedback so that a hydraulic cylinder can follow precise position, velocity, or pressure setpoints issued by a supervisory PLC. This makes it suitable for presses, forming equipment, and other hydraulic machines that need repeatable axis behavior under changing load conditions.
The controller manages 1 axis, which suits dedicated single-cylinder installations. Sensor acquisition is handled by 4 voltage, 4 current, and 4 impedance analog inputs, and real-time processing is performed by a 16/32-bit MC68376 processor. InterBus-S handles deterministic fieldbus traffic, and an RS232 service port operates at 9.6 kbaud. Actuator commands leave the unit through 4 voltage and 2 current analog outputs, while machine signals connect to 8 digital input/output lines that can be configured as needed. Continuous operation requires only 8 W, so passive panel cooling is usually adequate. The enclosure is designed for wall mounting, measures 71 × 155 × 204 mm, and weighs 1.0 kg. Its compact form helps when control hardware must be placed near valves, sensors, and terminal blocks inside shallow cabinets. Series 2 hardware omits an internal inductive position sensor and supports external incremental or SSI feedback devices.
