The VT-HNC100-1-14/234/5 digital axis controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series. Within the broader Digital NC control HNC100 range, this model belongs to component series 1 and is intended to control one hydraulic axis. It supplies motion control and setpoint generation for servo-hydraulic actuators used in presses, plastics machinery, and general industrial automation. The controller processes feedback signals and generates commands that regulate actuator position, pressure, and velocity during machine operation.
The unit provides 4 analog input channels, allowing position, pressure, velocity, and temperature to be monitored simultaneously. Outgoing reference voltages can be trimmed in increments of 1.25 mV, providing fine valve-command resolution. Each current input path presents a resistance of 100 Ω ±0.2%, minimizing the load placed on external transmitters and helping suppress electrical noise. The controller has 2 independent current output channels that drive valve coils and operate with loads up to 500 Ω. Four voltage outputs can source or sink ±10 mA and remain accurate when the external circuit meets the rated minimum load. The voltage inputs have less than 10 mV of nonlinearity and provide 5 mV resolution. Current inputs resolve signals down to 5 µA, while residual supply ripple remains within ±60 mV to help prevent offset drift.
Overall power consumption remains at 8 W, so the board adds little thermal load to a control cabinet. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged through the integrated RS-232 interface at 9.6 kbaud. Each voltage measurement path is buffered by an input resistance of 200 kΩ ±2%, permitting direct connection to high-impedance transducers. The voltage outputs remain within tolerance when the external circuit presents a load of at least 1 kΩ. These signal characteristics support direct connections between the controller, sensors, and hydraulic valve electronics without requiring extensive external signal-conditioning hardware.
