The VT-HNC100-1-14-134 digital axis controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for closed-loop position and force control on hydraulic machinery. It belongs to the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series, a subset of the HNC100 Digital NC Control family. This module coordinates valve and transducer signals so that a hydraulic axis follows NC motion commands generated by a PLC or CNC. By converting reference positions into proportional current or voltage outputs, the device handles feedback and drive tasks that would otherwise require a separate motion card in industrial automation.
Internally, the version supplied here is configured for 1 hydraulic axis, giving one complete control loop for position, velocity, and pressure. Analog command inputs accept 4 to 20 mA with a measured input resistance of 100 Ω ±0.2%, while differential voltage references up to ±10 V are also supported at an input impedance of 200 kΩ. Corresponding outputs can reproduce 4 to 20 mA or ±10 V so that proportional valves receive the proper drive signal. For high-resolution displacement transducers, the encoder interface captures feedback pulses up to 250 kHz, and program storage relies on 1 MB of Flash EPROM backed by 8 KB of EEPROM for parameter sets and 256 KB of RAM for dynamic data.
The control logic is executed by a 16/32-bit MC68376 microprocessor, and the card draws just 8 W from a supply of 18 to 36 VDC, minimizing cabinet heat. Operating temperature is rated for 0 to 50 °C, with safe storage between -20 and +70 °C, allowing installation in most machine halls. Serial diagnostics are handled through an RS-232 port fixed at 9.6 kbaud, and the controller is series 1.
