The VT-HNC100-1-14-110 is a digital axis controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series. It is intended for electro-hydraulic machines and supervises closed-loop position, velocity, or pressure control on a hydraulic axis during forming, clamping, and test processes. The module converts sensor feedback and fieldbus commands into precise valve signals, helping presses, molding equipment, and test stands maintain repeatable motion with stable response during automatic operation and synchronized machine sequences.
The controller is supplied in the version for 1 hydraulic axis, so its I/O arrangement matches a single proportional valve group. A 16/32-bit MC68376 processor manages the control cycle, with 8 KB of EEPROM reserved for parameters and 256 KB of RAM available for working data. Firmware and motion routines are stored in 1 MB of Flash EPROM. Encoder capture uses an incremental interface that tracks up to 250 kHz, while the SSI channel accepts 28-bit words for absolute position transfer. Analog supervision uses a voltage input resistance of 200 kΩ ±2 percent and digitizing steps of 5 mV, and the integrated DAC provides output increments of 1.25 mV. The positive reference source supplies +10 V ±25 mV for external sensors, each inductive input channel draws 30 mA, and the current-mode command inputs present an input resistance of 100 Ω ±0.2 percent. The digital outputs also provide current for discrete control tasks.
Network connectivity is established over Profibus-DP at rates up to 12 MBaud. A separate RS-232 service port communicates at 9.6 KBaud, and the module belongs to component series 1. Power consumption is limited to 8 W, which supports fanless cabinet layouts and helps keep internal heat generation low. This separation of network and service communication allows plant integration and local diagnostics through dedicated interfaces.
