Product Description:
The VT-HNC100-1-13/140 is a digital axis controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series. Intended for closed-loop positioning and velocity control on hydraulic machinery, it manages one servo-hydraulic axis by receiving transducer feedback and issuing proportional valve commands. Through simultaneous processing of analog signals and incremental encoder data, the unit serves as the motion core in presses, die-casting cells, and laboratory test rigs that demand accurate hydraulic movement.
For analog feedback, the controller provides four current inputs, each terminated by a precision 100 Ω shunt with a tolerance of ±0.2%. The converter resolves loop signals down to 5 µA, allowing fine scaling of displacement or pressure sensors. Two output stages provide two current outputs suitable for direct proportional valve control, while four additional voltage outputs mirror the same setpoints with 1.25 mV granularity. The encoder supply is rated at 200 mA, so dual differential track heads can be powered simultaneously. Separate voltage measurement paths offer four channels with an input impedance of 200 kΩ ±2% and a resolution of 5 mV, allowing load-cell or LVDT conditioners to be monitored alongside the current loops.
A 16/32-bit MC68376 microcontroller executes control algorithms from an internal 1 MB Flash EPROM and stores runtime data in 256 KB of RAM. Incremental encoder signals are sampled at up to 250 kHz, maintaining loop integrity on fast hydraulic axes. The ±10 V command converter resolves outputs to 1.25 mV, matching the precision of the input stages. Total board power demand stays within 8 W, minimizing heat inside the control cabinet. Communication with supervisory PLCs occurs through an RS-232 port operating at a fixed rate of 9.6 kBaud. The unit belongs to component series 1 of the Digital NC control HNC100 platform.
