The VT-HNC100-1-11/130 is a digital axis controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-HNC Digital Axis Controllers series. As a component of the Digital NC control HNC100 platform, this unit belongs to component series 1 and is supplied in a version for one hydraulic axis, making it suitable for closed-loop position and pressure control of a single cylinder or motor in automated production equipment. A 16/32-bit MC68376 microprocessor handles calculation cycles and is supported by 256 KB of battery-buffered RAM for temporary parameters and an 8 KB EEPROM for permanent device settings. Program code resides in 1 MB of flash EPROM, allowing code updates without socketed chips. For host communication, the PROFIBUS-DP interface transmits cyclic telegrams at a maximum rate of 12 Mbaud, while the service RS-232 port operates at 9.6 kbaud for local diagnostics. Four differential analog inputs have an impedance of 200 kΩ ±2%, and current signals are accepted through a 100 Ω ±0.2% shunt. The controller’s reference source supplies ±10 V with a tolerance of ±25 mV, and each switching output can sink 50 mA.
The module samples 4 analog process signals, and each channel is digitized with an accuracy of 5 mV, supporting proportional transducer feedback without external scaling. For motion feedback, the incremental encoder input accepts frequencies up to 250 kHz, providing sufficient headroom for high-speed hydraulic axes. The integrated voltage output path adjusts commands in 1.25 mV increments and is stabilized by an internal 220 nF compensation capacitor to limit the rate of voltage change on valve coils. Despite these functions, the controller draws only 8 W, which keeps panel heat generation low. Its serial, fieldbus, analog, and encoder connections support communication with the host controller while processing feedback from the connected hydraulic axis.
