The VT-HACD-DPQ-20/V0/1-0-0 digital axis controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT-HACD Digital Axis Controllers series. The module governs proportional valves or servo drives, converts motion commands from a PLC into precise analog currents and voltages, and acquires high-resolution feedback for closed-loop position, velocity, and pressure regulation in industrial automation systems. By hosting user-configurable profiles, it supports synchronized movement of hydraulic cylinders or electromechanical actuators used on presses, test rigs, and handling equipment.
Six analog input channels allow sensors to be connected, and the internal reference voltage of +10 V ±25 mV provides a stable excitation source. Each of the three analog outputs can source up to 10 mA, and the 14-bit converter provides a step size of 1.25 mV, enabling fine valve positioning. Nine digital inputs draw only 7 mA at 24 V. Up to 32 command blocks can be stored so complex motion sequences can run autonomously. For high-speed feedback, the incremental encoder interface accepts frequencies up to 250 kHz. Despite this processing load, the device draws only 200 mA from the 24 V control supply, conserving cabinet power. Its IP20 protection class requires installation inside an enclosure.
The eight transistor-driven digital outputs can deliver up to 20 mA per point, allowing the board to energize small solenoids or status beacons directly. If absolute position feedback is preferred, the controller reads SSI signals with a width of 28 bits, providing ample resolution for long-stroke axes. Measurement accuracy on the voltage inputs is maintained because the linearity error is limited to ±0.25%, while the input resolution is 5 mV. The 24 V logic domain and modest heat dissipation allow the unit to operate continuously in tightly packed control cabinets.
