The VT-HACD-3-2X-N-I-00-000 digital axis controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and is part of the VT-HACD Digital Axis Controllers series. Designed for closed-loop control of hydraulic or electromechanical axes, it executes position and velocity tasks that normally reside inside a motion PLC while keeping control intelligence close to the drive. The module mounts inside a control cabinet and exchanges process data over its integrated PROFINET RT interface, allowing deterministic communication with higher-level automation systems and simplifying parameterization.

For sensor and command processing, the card offers 6 differential analog inputs that accept ±10 V signals, and each one is converted with a resolution of 5 mV to capture process variables such as pressure or valve position. There are 3 analog outputs available; channel AO1 delivers setpoint voltages with 1.25 mV (14-bit) granularity, while the remaining two channels use the same converter accuracy to drive proportional valves. Output scaling is referenced to an internal +10 V ±25 mV source. Nine digital inputs and eight digital outputs handle limit switches, start commands, and status flags, and the integrated bus link transports these I/O images to the PLC. High-speed position capture is possible because the incremental encoder interface tolerates up to 250 kHz of input frequency, and absolute SSI feedback with 28 bit data length is also supported. Control logic operates from 0 to 50 °C and is protected against touch and debris by an IP20 housing. Overall mass is 1162 g, so the unit can be mounted in DIN-rail racks without additional support.
