Product Description:
The VT-HACD-3-23/N-I-00/000 is a digital axis controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the VT-HACD Digital Axis Controllers series. It provides closed-loop position and velocity control for hydraulic or electric actuators, issuing precise analog commands while monitoring encoder feedback to synchronize motion sequences inside automated machinery. Data exchange with the plant network uses a PROFINET RT interface, allowing axis parameters and operating data to travel through common industrial Ethernet infrastructure. The controller can receive motion commands from a higher-level control system and adjust its outputs in response to measured actuator movement.
This controller offers high-resolution measurement on its analog front end. Each current input is quantized in 5 µA steps, and nonlinearity across that range is held to ±0.25%. When voltage is used, the input converter operates in 5 mV increments, allowing fine setpoint adjustments. The controller has six analog inputs for sensor or command signals and three analog outputs for calculated valve currents or reference voltages. Additional control lines include nine digital inputs and eight digital outputs for discrete machine signals. A configurable +10 V reference source with a tolerance of ±25 mV can supply external potentiometers used to establish adjustable command values.
The electronics draw 200 mA at 24 VDC, making the controller compatible with standard cabinet power supplies. Incremental encoder channels accept frequencies up to 250 kHz, while an SSI link processes absolute positions with 28-bit data words; either feedback type can be enabled through software. The first analog output provides a current resolution of 1.25 µA and a voltage resolution of 1.25 mV at a 14-bit depth. These output characteristics support precise commands for proportional valves or connected servo equipment. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, providing protection against finger contact while requiring installation inside a switchgear cabinet. Cabinet installation also shields the controller from moisture, conductive debris, and other contaminants that could affect exposed terminals or electronic components.
