The VT-HACD-1-13/V0/1-D-0 is a digital axis controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat that belongs to the VT-HACD Digital Axis Controllers series. It manages hydraulic or electric positioning axes by translating motion commands into proportional reference currents for servo valves and drives used in industrial automation. Sensing, closed-loop processing, and fieldbus connectivity are integrated on a single 19-inch plug-in card for cabinet-mounted motion systems. This arrangement allows the controller to process position feedback and generate actuator commands without requiring separate signal-processing modules.
Power reaches the board through the backplane at a nominal voltage of 24 VDC. The controller remains operational at supply levels as low as 21 V and as high as 35 V, preventing momentary voltage deviations from interrupting the control logic. An internal 4 A slow-blow fuse protects the circuitry by localizing fault currents, while quiescent current consumption remains below 250 mA. All control loops update every 2 ms, supporting responsive correction of position and velocity errors. The incremental encoder channel accepts frequencies up to 100 kHz for high-resolution motion feedback. A ±10 V reference signal with a 30 mA current limit can drive proportional amplifiers directly. Three digital-to-analog converter channels issue 12-bit analog set points, and eight transistorized digital outputs provide switching signals for connected machine functions. Power, input, output, and communication connections are routed through a 64-pin DIN 41612 Type G connector.
The controller has 9 digital inputs for machine states and 6 analog inputs for process variables and sensor signals. These channels allow the control logic to monitor limit switches, operating modes, pressure values, and position data from connected equipment. Network communication is provided through a DeviceNet bus, which links the controller and other axes to a PLC for coordinated machine operation. An RS-232 service port supports local parameter adjustment and diagnostic access. Encoder edges are captured by hardware timers, maintaining accurate feedback timing independently of the control task. The unified connector also reduces separate rack wiring by placing the required electrical interfaces on one header.
